Q.Who supplies the maps used for the 'Map of the Garden Festival'?
A. Our map is supplied by Google Maps (
http://maps.google.co.uk) using an API coding feature they allow people to use (you can get your own at
http://www.google.com/apis/maps/ for free). All the pointers were added by me (Mathew Parker)
Q.Who supplies your search feature?
A. The search feature is supplied by Google Co-Op (
http://google.com/coop/) which allows any one to set up their own for their own web site and possibly earn money from the ads displayed on the results page.
Q.Does this site earn any money from any of the features used from external sources?
A. Not at all. This site is an informative web site and therefore we don't want to earn any money what so ever for this web site.
Q.Does it cost you to have any of these features run from external sources?
A. It doesn't cost a penny. Google kindly supplies Google Maps and Google Search free of charge. Any other system is built into the site by myself.
Q.How come there's no adverts on the Google Search?
A. Because this web site makes no profit (and therefore classified as a 'non-profit' website), Google allows us to use their feature with out any adverts on them.
Information & Sources
Q.Where did you get all your information from?
A. Various sources. Most of the sources are credited on the credits page (providing they're people), but other sources include the official Garden Festival of Wales Souvenir Booklet and various web sites (which are credited for where they have been used).
Q.I've got some pictures of the Garden Festival of Wales, can I send them to you?
A. Please do! I am always looking for photographs of the festival itself to add to the gallery and the more the better. All images that are put in our gallery automatically credits the person who took them and displays the year it was taken (the year the copyright starts - if during the festival, obviously it was 1992). Please contact me for more details
Q.I've seen a mistake, can I correct it?
A. You can correct it by contacting me. We would allow people to change content as and when they want to, but the chances are someone will abuse it. This way, by contacting me, I can monitor all changes myself
